Dr. Pavana Karanth, DDS joined the Oak Ridge Dental Arts Team in November 2017. Dr. Karanth grew up in India where she obtained a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree and then went on to complete a Master of Dental Surgery residency in Operative Dentistry and Endodontics. She moved to the United States in 2009 and obtained a DDS degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Karanth’s first home in the United States was in Durham, North Carolina. She fell in love with North Carolina for its charm, the people and their hospitality as well as the great food. That is why she decided to return here upon graduating from dental school. She moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2012 and has been practicing dentistry in the area since then. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Karanth enjoys spending time with her family, especially with her sons. She also enjoys watching dramas on television and her favorite show is Law and Order. She likes to run, take long walks with her dog, cook, dine out with friends and family, shop and travel.
Dr. Karanth has a keen interest in family and cosmetic dentistry and is certified to provide Invisalign® for her patients. Her clinical interests include restorative dentistry such as tooth colored fillings, bondings, crowns, bridges, veneers and implant restorations as well as root canal treatments. Dr. Karanth is a believer in lifelong learning and enjoys keeping updated on the latest in the science and technology of dentistry. She loves dentistry because she enjoys creating beautiful and healthy smiles and getting to know her patients and their families. Dr. Karanth is excited to join the Oak Ridge Dental Arts Team and looks forward to meeting you and taking care of all your dental needs!
